Does Vast sync my browsing data to an account?
Section titled “Does Vast sync my browsing data to an account?”No built-in cloud sync is part of the current documented product surface. Core Vast browser data is local-first.
Does Vast collect browsing telemetry?
Section titled “Does Vast collect browsing telemetry?”No. Vast does not collect browsing history, URLs, searches, tabs, or similar browsing telemetry as product analytics.
Can I use different logins in different workspaces?
Section titled “Can I use different logins in different workspaces?”Yes. Use isolated persistent workspaces to keep separate browser sessions.
Can a workspace use its own proxy?
Section titled “Can a workspace use its own proxy?”Yes. A workspace can use the system route, direct connection, or a custom fixed proxy.
Is Private Workspace the same as deleting all traces?
Section titled “Is Private Workspace the same as deleting all traces?”No browser should make that promise. Temporary workspaces reduce persistence inside Vast, but websites, networks, the operating system, downloads, and external services can still observe activity.
Can I move my Vast profile?
Section titled “Can I move my Vast profile?”Yes. Use Settings → Data to change the data directory or create a full .vastbackup export.
Are extensions supported?
Section titled “Are extensions supported?”Yes, with compatibility varying by extension. Vast can also support Vast-specific extension permissions.
Can Vast store passwords?
Section titled “Can Vast store passwords?”The built-in Password Manager is retired in 0.5.0. External Bitwarden, Proton Pass, and iCloud Passwords extensions have smoke-test evidence only; compatibility varies by site and workflow. See Password Manager (retired).
Does Automation run arbitrary scripts?
Section titled “Does Automation run arbitrary scripts?”No. Current macros are constrained to a limited set of visible browser actions.
Can Network Devices scan the internet?
Section titled “Can Network Devices scan the internet?”No. It is designed for local/private network discovery, not public-IP scanning.
Why is a feature missing?
Section titled “Why is a feature missing?”Check the individual feature switch, Experimental features, or Developer Mode. Fresh onboarding selects individual Labs; the generic fallback is fail closed and global labs.enabled does not gate individual features.
What changed in 0.3.0?

Where did the native Adblocker settings go?
Section titled “Where did the native Adblocker settings go?”They were removed in 0.3.0. Install Adblocker for Vast for filter-list and cosmetic blocking. Common-tracker protection and the other browser privacy controls remain built in.
Can the standalone updater update the Microsoft Store edition?
Section titled “Can the standalone updater update the Microsoft Store edition?”No. Store installations update through Microsoft Store. The standalone updater is for an existing direct installation; Portable uses a replacement Portable build.
Does global Corner radius change websites?
Section titled “Does global Corner radius change websites?”No. It changes Vast-owned controls and surfaces, while preserving structural circles and docked edges. Website content keeps its own styling.
