Command Palette
The Command Palette is Vast’s fastest control surface. Open it with Ctrl/Cmd+K.
It searches across actions, tabs, workspaces, bookmarks, history, notes, settings, and supported extension contributions.
Common commands
Section titled “Common commands”Examples include:
- create, close, duplicate, or reopen a tab;
- toggle split view;
- switch workspace;
- open Settings;
- open Notes;
- save a page to Reading List;
- add a bookmark;
- copy the current URL or title;
- print;
- open Extensions;
- open Smart Unload;
- open Session Timeline;
- clear History;
- open Labs tools when available.
Search behavior
Section titled “Search behavior”The palette supports fuzzy matching rather than exact-only search. Recent and favorite commands can surface faster over time.
Internal pages
Section titled “Internal pages”Advanced settings can hide or show Vast internal pages in the palette. Labs-gated pages remain unavailable until their corresponding feature is enabled.
